| The RDHS Library Media Center is open from 7:30am to 3:00pm Monday through Friday |
| We
have approximately 11,500 volumes in our print collection and subscribe
to several periodicals for both academic and recreational enjoyment.
Our collection is organized according to the Dewey Decimal System and
non reference books may be checked out to students and staff for a
period of two weeks and may be renewed as needed. We also subscribe to
several online magazine and reference databases and ebooks. Those
resources can be accessed from any computer in the building. Accessing
those resources from home may require a login and password which can be
obtained at the Library Media Center circulation desk. |
| The
Library Media Center is available for research and recreational
reading. Students must have a pass to enter, and study hall students
should request a pass from Mr. Leonard or Mrs. Harjula before the
beginning of study hall if they wish to visit the library. No food or
beverages (with the exception of bottled water) is allowed in the
library or computer lab. We do expect students to respect the needs of
all students and assist us in maintaining a quiet environment. |
| We
have a limited number of TV/DVD units, lcd projectors, overhead
projectors, and one smartboard which can be checked out for classroom
use. We also have a growing collection of educational videos available
for instruction. We have six desktop PCs in the library media center
and 17 additional PCs in the adjacent Computer Lab. We invite teachers
to sign out either space or both rooms for class research projects. |
